The GOSH! Workshop and Summit have been made possible in large part by our valued institutional partners. We wish to thank them for their kind support and generosity!
The Banff Centre is Canada's creative leader in arts and culture. Our mission is Inspiring Creativity. In our powerful mountain setting, exceptional artists and leaders from around the world create and perform new works of art, share skills and knowledge in an interdisciplinary environment, explore ideas, and develop solutions in the arts, leadership and the environment.
The Banff New Media Institute (BNMI) is an internationally acclaimed arts production and research institute. Our programs are designed to support creative pluralism, different modes of inquiry, the production of new work, and the engagement of artists, producers, technologists and researchers with the aesthetics and culture of new media. BNMI offers thematic and self-directed artist residencies, partners on research initiatives, provides training, and offers professional development and production support in a multi-disciplinary development environment.
It is essential for researchers in the social sciences and humanities to have the expertise necessary to carry out research in today’s rapidly evolving technological environment. The Image, Text, Sound and Technology (ITST) Summer Institute, Workshop, and Conference Grants program, administered by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC), helps researchers refine their ability to apply digital multimedia technologies to their research on image, text and sound.
The Office for Contemporary Art Norway (OCA) is a private foundation and was founded by The Ministry of Culture and The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in fall 2001. The main aim of the Office for Contemporary Art Norway is to develop collaborations in contemporary art between Norway and the international art scene.
